A recent report shows that credit card fraud continues to increase. We have unfortunately experienced this 1st hand recently! Heres a few tips to help you buy safely online.

 A big part of the problem is that more of us are buying online and the fraudsters exploit are growing confidence.

We recently setup a ppc campaign for an Iphone Unlocking software site (should of raised alarm bells I know!). It transpired that the site owner was paying his bills using our bacs details obtained from our invoices to him. It also came to light that the payment details he was giving us to pay Adwords with were stolen!

• are the contact details/phone number valid?

• Google the company name or website - if they are dodgey you'll probably find theres websites moaning about them
  

• if the product is even remotely questionable legally (i.e. iphone unlocking) dont buy it online (or anywhere)!

• if the product is reasonably high value phone up and order

• if their is no phone number on the site forget it

•  is the site secure i.e. does its web address begin https?

•  is the site contact details or domain non UK, if so your consumer rights may be different and unaffected by UK law
