How Pay Per Click & Google Advertising Works 

Pay per click is the only guaranteed way of getting to the top of the search engines for desired keywords and phrases.

Think of it as like a word auction. We bid for the words and phrases you want to appear for, the higher the bid the higher the position your listing/ad is displayed in search results (in combination with other factors.) The really clever bit being you only pay the bid price when someone clicks on your listing and gets to your site. Bid prices start at 3p so an awful lot of traffic is available for literally pennies.

Costs are controllable e.g. if you budget £120 per month we would cap daily expenditure at £4. If average visitor/bid cost were 10p you would get 40 visitors a day (40x10p=£4) and 1200 visitors per month.
